Q: Do I need to use a 4MHz resonator or crystal with the PDN1200 or PDN1204?
A: Yes, a 4MHz ceramic resonator or ceramic-cut parallel crystal (with 18-33pF capacitors on each leg to ground) is required, even if you are providing a stepping pulse.
Q: How do I connect the three pins of the ceramic resonator you sell?
A: A 3-pin ceramic resonator has both the oscillator circuit as well as stabilization capacitors built in. (DigiKey part number X902-ND or equivalent). To use, connect the center pin to circuit ground, and connect each outer pin to one of the two PDN oscillator connections (polarity is unimportant).
Q: Can Paladin Semiconductor parts operate at 3.3V
A: All parts except the PDN747 can operate at either 3.3V or 5V.
Q: Are Paladin Semiconductor parts RoHS compliant.
A: Yes, all of our semiconductor parts meet the RoHS initiative requirements. Please see our RoHS Compliance Certificate.
